Cardoso stone is quarried in the Apuan Alps in the area around the village Serravezza which is situated in the north of Tuscany above Versilia.
In the surroundings of Pietrasanta, Cardoso is traditionally used for staircases, fireplaces, door frames and window sills. It is not only elegant and timeless but also provides extraordinary physical and mechanical characteristics. It is very resistant to wear, cracking, tension and atmospheric influences, which makes it an all-round solution for a vast range of indoor and outdoor applications.
Its elegant grey color with nuances of lighter tonalities makes Cardoso a very stylish material for modern design. Today it is widely used for kitchen tops, flooring, wall skirting and bathroom applications. With a brushed finishing Cardoso also offers good anti slip properties.
